Stronger Japanese developer support on the Play Station Three

In the current gen console wars, one thing the Play Station Two had going for it was it's relationship with gaming fan favorite Japanese developers. Konami, Square Enix, Bandai, Capcom, Nipppon, Ichi, Altus, and Namco, along with various others all offered superb and unique for Sony's Play Station that isn't found in any other console. Examples of this include; Final Fantasy, Tekken, Devil May Cry, Ace-Combat, and loads of other great titles. You won't find any of these hot titles for Xbox or the Cube.

As a general rule, the companies above have supported Play Station Two more strongly. The support is obviously going to continue, seeing as how these companies have already signed on one or more projects for Play Station three for just the first year. At this year's Tokyo Game Show, nearly one hundred games were already announced by Japanese studios for the PS3, this is dramatically more than confirmed Japanese titles for the 360. Take that Microsoft. Not even to mention that Sony's own Japanese studio doesn't do to poorly on its own.

Killer app; Metal Gear Solid 4

The Play Station Three already has a killer app lined up, may we introduce, Metal Gear Solid 4; Guns of the Patriots. The technology of this game is amazing, being based in real-time and crafted by game creator Hideo Kojima who most defiantly knows how to craft an excellent video game, there is no doubt that Metal Gear Solid 4 is going to be a smashing hit, and we are sure to see some breath taking things from it. That is just another killer game from a killer awesome company. Where is 360's killer app? We have yet to see that, haven't we?

Yay for Blu-ray

The promising technology coming from Sony and Company's next-generation disk is amazing. It will be 50GB+ of storage space, which can kick 360's DVD formats butt by not two times, not three times, but nearly 5x! We can only wait in anticipation for this next generation technology to immerge.

The possibilities are even broader considering the amount of storage space on the media alone. Not only is Sony's Play Station Three an amazing next generation system, but it also has such amazingly versatile media. The Play Station Three's actual drive speed hasn't been announced yet, but we do know that Blu-ray's transfer rate is pretty quick and that consoles speedy load times are sure to be on their way. With the help of the Blu-ray Disc Association, the Play Station Three is sure to have a more advanced storage medium than any other gaming system on the planet. Again, take that Microsoft!
